Save Those Feathers

Please bring your bird's molted feathers (sealed in a ziplock bag) to the monthly meetings.

Chet Fuhrman will send the feathers to the Feather Distribution Project which is operated by the Illinois State Museum Research & Collections Center.

Native Americans will receive the feathers free of charge to make or adorn objects used in their religious ceremonies. Macaw wing and tail feathers are highly prized.
